Appendix A

An Alternative Treatment Program

An enhanced positive mental health intervention especially thought to be applicable to working with special needs children and their families is represented by using these questionnaires as a part of intervention to activate positive experience from which we want to savor by broadening and building these resources. Although you may want to just start with one practice you are most drawn to and experience it, adding another one or two may likely result in a change in a mental state and resultant satisfied moment which can be further built upon. Although these positive psychology strategies have documented evidence for use in treatment alone, we suggest these ideas to best fit special needs alongside with a traditional medically targeted symptom based intervention program. We can help consult with your therapist or school psychologist or counselor because the desired quality of life and happiness outcomes will require both points of view and unfortunately quality of life is not guaranteed with solely a disease treatment remediation model.
