Able has changed into Able-differently, a non-profit community service to help build strength-based wellbeing resources and positive mental health for children with special health care needs and their families. Able-differently is contributed to by its community members, without costs as a non-profit public program, as an investment in healthy Utah families.

We will continue to advocate a parent-driven, community care team process to connect and coordinate services. We will provide website tools and other online management ideas enabling families to position themselves in their rightful partnership so to be seen and heard, understood and claim a stronger voice in participating in critical decision making. Wherever school age and younger children are reached through early intervention, Part B preschool and child care centers. We will accept financial contributions to manage the website and support shared costs, for a child’s exploration of recreationally enriched experiences, creative play and her desire to tell her story what happened and how she experiences being different in positive ways by expressing these optimal opportunities. Support the use of community-based, coordinated, culturally sensitive, health, social, and emotional resources offered by parents, extended families, medical homes, schools and communities through joint neighborhood systems of care, collaboration and education, using phone consultation, community tele-conferencing and online services.
